NUTRITION

I don’t like to use the word “diet”.  I like to think of how I eat as a way of life.  I don't spend a lot of time measuring food, instead, I just make it a habit to eat small portions through out the day.  It’s important for all of us to look and feel good and by eating certain foods and limiting others; we’re able to achieve our goals.  I have a very busy lifestyle so I sometimes have to be ‘flexible’ with the foods that I consume.  For instance, if I have a busy day of meetings and working with clients, it’s not always convenient for me to bring my own food with me, so I have to know what to order when dining out that will not sabotage my goals.  I’m also a big fan of supplementation.  It’s very hard to get in all the protein your body really needs from food alone, so I almost always drink at least one protein shake per day.

The only time that I get on a really “strict” nutrition plan is when I’m preparing for a competition.  When I’m not getting ready for a show, I have a little more room “for fun”.  Here's an idea of the basic foods that are almost always in my diet.

I always eat tons of fruits & veggies, and whole grains.
