Protein is needed in our bodies not only for muscle growth & development, but also for skin, hair, and internal organs. For years, there has been a huge debate over just how much protein one should take in daily, and I typically don’t get involved in that debate. In a past newsletter, I told you about a chart that will help give you an idea of how much protein you need to consume daily, if you would like that information again, feel free to email me. What I would like to share with you is a list of my favorite protein powders. Taking in “whole” protein sources is the best (chicken, fish, red meat, cheese, cottage cheese, etc), but sometimes there’s just not enough time in the day to prepare food, eat a full meal, etc. So in that case, you can opt to take in a good protein shake. There are many brands of protein powders out there, some taste really good, others require tons of added fruit, milk, etc just to make them taste average. The lists of powders below only require water and they taste great. Here are my favorites:
